Hawkins UMC Mission Statement The mission of our local congregation is to develop disciples of Jesus Christ and send them out to serve in the community and the world.
Last Sunday's Sermon: October 11, 2015 - Hope for Desolate Hearts - Mike Duggar, United Methodist Children's Home
Hawkins UMC is honored to announce their new Youth Director, Abigail Herrington.
Abigail hails from the great state of Mississippi. She has two hometowns: Hattiesburg and Bay St. Louis. After high school, she attended Millsaps College and graduated four years
later with a bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Theatre. It was between pages of the books she studied at Millsaps that she began to understand how unique and special each of God's children are. That's why Matthew 22:37-39 is at the heart of her calling to ministry.
That love is what she hopes to share with the youth here at Hawkins: a love that will inspire and encourage them to experience God in their own ways and to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She has been prayerfully anticipating her time with us, and she looks forward to the journey ahead!
Love in Christ, Abigail J. Herrington

Come worship with us! There is a place for you!
I would like to personally invite you to come and see what God is up to here at Hawkins through joining us for worship and other special events that we offer throughout the week and the year. Being disciples of Jesus Christ means that we take seriously our role as ambassadors for Christ in the world around us, and we believe that God gives us all a special gift to share with the body of believers.
We hope the information you find here is helpful to visitors and to our members alike. If we can help you in any way, please contact us by phone or email. There is a place here for you! May God bless you today and every day!
